Privacy Policy

MGBG.AI is a small studio in Los Angeles, California. This page explains what we collect when you use mgbg.ai and our consultation rooms at consult.mgbg.ai, what we do with it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected] and a person will answer.

1. What we collect

When you fill out our questionnaire

On the Start a Conversation page (/talk/) we ask for your name, your email, your company if you have one, what you'd like us to make, and a message. We keep your submission in our database on Cloudflare and email a copy to our studio inbox through our email service. To stop spam, we also store a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for one hour, so the same connection can't send dozens of messages.

In a consultation room

If we invite you to a consultation room with a room key, we keep what you tell our consultant, Ruby, and any files you upload. Ruby is an AI assistant. Your messages are sent to an AI model through a model gateway so she can reply and write up a summary (a brief) of your project, and that brief is emailed to our studio. If we have your email address on file for the room, we use it to send your room key and, if you ask, a replacement key. A small cookie keeps you signed in to your own room.

Automatically, when you visit

• Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages load slowly. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't follow you across other sites.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver the site and keep it secure.
• Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google and shares your IP address with it.
• Your browser. Some pages save small settings in your browser, like a remembered choice or a game's progress. They stay on your device.

We don't knowingly collect sensitive information such as health, financial account or government ID details. Please don't send them to us through the site.

2. How we use it

• To answer your message and decide together whether we're a good fit.
• To run your consultation, write your brief and do the work you hire us for.
• To send you the emails you asked for, like your room key.
• To keep the site working, secure and free of spam.

We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't send marketing email unless you ask us to.

3. Who we share it with

We only share information with the companies that help us run the site and the consultation rooms, and only so they can do that job for us:

• Cloudflare hosts the site, stores form submissions, room conversations and uploaded files, and provides our analytics.
• Our email service (Resend) delivers form notifications, room keys and briefs.
• An AI model provider, through a model gateway (OpenRouter), processes consultation room messages so Ruby can respond.
• Google serves our fonts.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Your rights, including in California

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and where it came from,
• give you a copy of it,
• correct it, or
• delete it.

California residents have these rights under the CCPA and CPRA, plus the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don't sell or share it, but you can still record an opt-out on our Your privacy choices page. We will never treat you differently for using any of these rights.

How to ask: email [email protected] with "Privacy request" in the subject and tell us what you'd like. We'll confirm the request comes from you, usually by replying to the email address we have on file, and we'll answer within 45 days. You can use an authorized agent if you give them written permission.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information.

5. Cookies

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies we set are the ones needed for a feature to work, such as the cookie that keeps you signed in to your consultation room. Our analytics are cookieless.

6. How long we keep it

• Questionnaire submissions: up to 24 months, unless we end up working together, in which case they become part of the project record.
• Consultation rooms, briefs and uploaded files: for as long as the project is active, and up to 24 months after the room was last used.
• The hashed IP address used to stop spam: one hour.
• Records we have to keep for tax or legal reasons: as long as the law requires.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will unless the law says we have to keep it.

7. Children

Our site and services are for adults and businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

8. Visitors outside the United States

We're based in the United States and our providers may process information here or in other countries. By using the site, you understand your information will be handled in the United States. You can use the rights above wherever you live.

9. Security

The site is served only over encrypted connections. Consultation rooms are private to the person holding the key, and only a scrambled version of each key is stored. No system is perfectly secure, so we limit what we collect and who can reach it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll say so on the site.
